I went to the Alexandra Writers’ Open Mic night last night and had a fantabulous time. I heard some excellent reading and laughed and enjoyed the whole night. I loved meeting other local writers. They draw random names for people to read. My name was drawn!
I read three pages from the end of Chapt 1. It really got me back into my book again to be able to read it aloud. I was so happy to get such good feedback. I loved hearing the comments that people didn’t want me to stop reading.
I’m definitely going to continue to go every month. It’s wonderful to know you’re not the only writer in all of Calgary, like I’ve been feeling the last little while.
Now to get back to work polishing up Lasera!
